AffordableMTD is committed to making its website and web application accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this Service, regardless of how they access it.
This statement applies to the AffordableMTD marketing website (affordablemtd.com) and the AffordableMTD web application (secure.affordablemtd.com).
How Accessible This Service Is
We have carried out a self-assessment of AffordableMTD against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, using the full set of applicable success criteria.
"Fully conforms" means the Service meets the standard without exceptions.
How We Assessed Accessibility
Some examples of accessibility features built into AffordableMTD:
- Semantic HTML structure with correct headings, landmarks, and labelled form fields
- All functionality is operable by keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Colour is never used as the sole means of conveying information, and text meets minimum contrast ratios
- Form fields that collect user-identity information (such as email) use the correct
autocompleteattributes so their purpose can be programmatically determined - Clear error identification and correction guidance on all forms, including confirmation steps before financial submissions to HMRC
The assessment was carried out internally by Nesbitt Web Ltd on 8 July 2026, using the WCAG 2.1 checklist covering all Level A and Level AA success criteria.
